I'm thankful that this is short and sweet! Social worker by day, sculptor, jewelry designer, writer, dream interpreter and belly dancer by night. I live in NE Oklahoma with my dog and four cats. I've made several attempts at starting a business and haven't given up. I just launched my new site.

The butterfly has been one of my journey totems for many years. She visits whenever I will be going through a big change, usually a positive one. She typically lands somewhere on my body and stays for a long time. The first time I had a visit from Butterfly was when she landed on my breast and stayed for fifteen minutes. I found out a few days later that I was pregnant with my first child!

A Glimpse Into the Psyche of Psycho-Kitty

My female tuxedo has had more problems adjusting to other cats than any cat I've ever owned. She was a wild stray that finally built enough of a relationship with me to allow me to adopt her. I brought her here when I moved in with my late husband because she was a one-owner cat but she never accepted the other three. They've established a pecking order and things are more peaceful than they used to be but there's still a lot of screaming and spitting - and she's often the one who starts it.

How can we get rid of ticks?

We have developed a severe tick problem and can't seem to find a solution. It all started about a year ago, when we started finding ticks on the dogs. We had never had a tick problem here before. So we put the dogs on Frontline Plus. We have always had an exterminator spray the house and yard once a month for fleas, so we asked them to start spraying for ticks as well. It did not help.
